The Zig-Zag Puzzle

This puzzle was issued in at least 2 versions as newspaper contests with cash prizes.  One was issued by the Daily Mirror in London circa 1930.  The other was issued by the Danish newspaper B.T. in Copenhagen.    In both puzzles the pieces are built in a tray with a curious shape projecting into the center.  The puzzles have different shapes and different pieces.  The pictures on the covers are not solutions, but rather have many pieces that are not actually part of the puzzle.   I'm very curious to know if there have been other puzzles like this issued elsewhere.  Contact me with info at waite@nemmelgebmurr.com
