MayanGlyph Puzzle

Each of the pieces of this puzzle is a glyph from the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar.  The tray for the puzzle arranges the glyphs into double columns according to Mayan tradition.  Each column can be solved as a separate puzzle, but the real challenge is to solve both at the same time.  Solving one column does not mean that the remaining pieces will fit into the other column.

The complete selection of 20 pieces are all shaped differently, with tabs sticking in or out on either side, but what really makes the puzzle tricky is that the pieces come in several different heights.  This makes the puzzle very difficult because the pieces do not always match heights with the tabs of the tray.  The puzzle is made from red alder wood.  It is precision cut by laser so that the pieces seem to fit in many wrong places as well as the correct spots.  Though difficult to find any of the four solutions, the biggest challenge is to find the solution with the glyphs in correct calendar order.
