The Hexagonal Box
Wood box with wood and bone intarsia
11 cm x 11 cm x 5 cm
The pattern on the lid of the box suggests the pattern repeated by the pieces. Each piece is at least slightly different from the rest, requiring extreme precision in fitting them precisely into the bottom of the box in only one possible way. There is a puzzle within a puzzle. Seven tiny white pieces come together to form a square (first puzzle) that sits in the center surrounded by the other pieces (second puzzle).
